Since I am a hedgehog, I know a lot about this.
Hedgehogs are warm blooded mammals and we have spiky quills that are also called spines. This helps discourage anything that might try to hurt us.
We are fairly harmless. We’re actually very cuddly and loving once we get to know you.
There are several kinds of hedgehogs in the world. The hedgehogs that are most often pets are African pygmy hedgehogs. Although there are other types of hedgehogs that make a fine companion too.
